Energy Audit

Homes, especially older homes, aren’t ziplock bags - and that’s a good thing.

However, identifying and repairing or updating problem areas in your home can cut costs and increase your family’s comfort.

What To Expect At An Energy Audit

A energy audit is the process of determining how much energy is being used and where it is being used. An energy audit determines the best way to make an existing building more efficient.

We will review things like insulation levels, windows and doors, heating and cooling equipment, lighting fixtures, appliances, hot water systems and other building components.

We’ll perform a visual inspection of the exterior, interior, and the home’s climate control systems for energy efficiency. We pay special attention to areas that tend to have air or water leaks or ventilation issues and recommend a plan to improve or replace the fixtures and systems to improve your home’s efficiency.

You’'ll receive a compressible list of improvements with priority given to health and safety issues, and recommendations for trusted contractors as applicable.
