Radon Testing

Radon is a radioactive gas that can be found in homes. It is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. This gas has no taste or smell so it cannot be detected by humans.

The EPA recommends testing for radon at each real estate transaction. This area of Virginia is designated as Level 1 for radon exposure.

Radon testing is the process of testing the levels of radon in a home to assess whether there are high levels of radon gas present. It is important to have the level measured because excessive exposure to radon can cause lung cancer or other illnesses.
